I go days without updating, and then I update you twice in one day. That's how I roll.
I just got back from my doctor appointment. She said that I'm dilated to 3-4 centimeters and asked me if I wanted her to strip the membranes. I told her, "I don't know what that means." I'm still a bit confused on what it is, but I know that what it does is gives me a 70% chance of going into labor within 24 hours. Worst-case scenario is that I have unnecessary cramping for a bit and needless spotting. I asked how bad the cramping would be and then said, "Well, I guess it's silly to worry about pain if I'm going to have to deal with that whole labor thing..." She honestly couldn't tell me how bad the cramping would be, as she's never experienced. She only hoped that it wouldn't be as bad as a contraction. Well, even if it is, I'm going to have to deal with contractions anyhow.
So I opted for the membrane-stripping. I may have a baby by 4pm tomorrow. Otherwise, we've scheduled an induction date for me: Wednesday, April 25th at 5:00AM. Nathaniel's due date is April 25th anyhow, and I don't want him to be there longer than he has to be, ya know? The doctor said that with any luck, he'd be out by 8:00PM on the 25th, but it could be as late as midnight on the 26th. We shall just have to see.
