Lots of update goodness

If you didn't listen to my voice post, Whitaker School for the emotionally disturbed called me Wednesday about an interview. I couldn't take the call when they called me since I was watching Superman Returns with AJ at the time, and I didn't have the opportunity to call them back before leaving Arlington shortly after the movie, so I decided to call back yesterday. So I now have an interview set up for noon next Thursday. I'm giddy about it. I know my past of bad luck with interviews, but I have aced a couple, or else I never would have gotten jobs at school. So I'm not hopeless. I'm really optimistic about this job. Candice helped me a bit as well. She said, "That's quite impressive, Miki. You got an interview for a job that is in your field, will use your degree, and all within less than three solid months after you graduated. Bravah." Oh, and I got a letter from the Department of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention thanking me for my interest in the Social Research Associate position as well as notifying me that they would call me if they were interested in interviewing me. So it really doesn't mean much of anything, but getting a letter perked up my spirits a bit.

My mom brought up the idea of me taking some online courses through Vance Granville Community College while I'm living at home. I don't really see any problem, so long as I can get financial aid to cover it. I read something that said that you are eligible for a pell grant so long as you are working towards your first undergraduate degree. This would be my third, sorta. But I don't know if I even want to go for a degree. I think I just want to go for the sheer fun of it. Kinda. It'd be knowledge that could prove to be useful. They have a lot of online courses in criminal justice. I've also gotten into thinking of grad school for next year. Maybe going to George Washington University for something in forensics. Just some thoughts...

AJ came by a few hours ago to pick up a surround sound system with a DVD player that my mom wanted to give to him. We also watched last week's episode of The 4400, since we missed it on Sunday. We had Phillip record it on the DVR when it played again on USA at 1am on Thursday morning. You bettah believe I won't miss Sunday night's episode. I miss my AJ. It seems like so long ago that we were playing house, but I was in Arlington a little over 48 hours ago (like 48 hours and some minutes). We're making plans to go to Bud Light Downtown Live in Raleigh next Saturday to see Spin Doctors and Blue October. And some other random bands. We're going for Blue October though, and we like the Spin Doctors too. But mainly Blue October.

Michelle and I have plans to hang out some time on Sunday. I have to figure out what time we'll be doing that. She's not staying in Stem, so this'll be the only time we'll have to hang out before she moves to Greensboro with Sarah and her boyfriend.

That's about it. No other plans really, aside from family time and all of that goodness. I plan on going to Greensboro some weekend soon. I'm aiming for the weekend of July 14-16. I'll post when there's something definite about that.
