I've been trying to decide which my favourite song is on this album, which is hard, becuase they're all fabulous. I've always loved 'Both Sides Now,' becuase it's really 'me' so I think that has to be it.

I really love his John's version of 'You'll Think of Me', I'm a massive Keith Urban fan, so I was intrigued about how this would sound, but John's made it so different, so uniquely his. The original has Keith's wonderful raw guitar sound, but John's version seems to have brought out another side of the song, and to me anyway, the two versions really compliment each other.

'Uptown Girl' is amazing, it totally takes me back to school, and in all honesty I think John and the boys have done the song a great service, it's simply brilliant - big, loud, and better than the original ever was.

the only song which surprised me was 'Right Here Waiting For You,' I loved Richard Marx's original but for some reason something seems to be missing for me from this. I don't know whether John will do this song on the tour, but I think that maybe it will come alive when performed live.

For me this album is way, way better than 'Another Side,' it feels more alive, and simply more 'John.'

Sony's design dept ought to be lined up against a wall and given a stiff talking to over the text colour on the inside sleeve though. When I used to design book jackets one of the things I always had to make sure of was that people could actually read it!!!! The text is barely legible in the pale purple, all it needed to be was the colour of the front banner for goodness sake!

I posted this on the yahoo group but thought I'd stick it here too.
