College

College rocks my world.

First, I'll begin by saying that I am really happy with my dorm room. I had a fear of being stuffed like a sardine but luckily the room is much bigger than I thought. The "Peach Sorbet" walls are more pink than peach. There is ample space for my roommate and I. And it's nice only having to share your bathroom with three other people. Thank god I don't have those community bathrooms! You can't take a decent poo there. Come on, you know how important it is to take a good poo! It's absolutely essential.

My bed covers are this sexy dark shade of red. It's hot, trust me. And I have plenty of pillows to cuddle with, including a body pillow. Oh, and I also have my little white rug! Thank god the closet can hold the clothes I brought. Although I wish I could have brought more things, but there's only so much you can take with you on an airplane.

My roomate is really cool. I like her a lot. It's funny because she is Polish. Eastern Europeans unite! Her name is Marlena and she is so nice. No Patrick, she's not an Amazon. She's gorgeous so I feel ugly sometimes. haha. There seem to be a good number of pretty girls at this school, which I didn't expect. Not that I thought they were all going to be ugly as shit or anything, but I'm just used to UCLA and lets face it - UCLA isn't known for have attractive students.

There have been orientation programs going on all week. There was improv, music, and yesterday we had a Hawaiian Luau. We also had this thing called "Swamp Stomp" where we ventured into the Audobon Zoo for a party that the school threw for us. I got to meet a lot of upperclassmen there. I didn't even notice the alligators (or were they crocodiles?) floating around in the swamp below me.

Yesterday I had my FIRST Wallmart experience! I've never been there before so I was really excited. Yeah, um it sucks. But damn, shit is cheap there. They had flat panel televisions for under $400! That's amazing! You can't get them for under $600 in Los Angeles! I want one.

"The Amazing Hypnotist" came by yesterday and hypnotized my classmates. He was beginning to hypnotize me but I snapped out of it when everyone started laughing at the fact that one of the upperclassmen thought that he was William Hung and started singing "She bangs!" The whole show as absolutely hillarious. It seems like the school really wants to keep up entertained and busy. Well, they're doing a pretty good job of it.

It was so hard for me to say 'Goodbye' to my mom on Friday. She and I both started crying hysterically. Wow. I can't even adequately describe that moment. I just wanted to jump into the taxicab with her. I hope she'll be alright at home. I hope she's not too lonely. I miss her. I love my family.

I hit the frat scene my first night here. It was some Tulane frat...alpha...uh something. Before that I was at a bar taking shots of tequila and playing video poker. I won that shit! But then I lost. ) - : I left the bar with a "Long Island" in my hand (my favorite drink) and I suddenly notice a group of about eight police officers standing only a few feet away. No, I didn't throw it away right there and then. Hell no! That stuff costs money, and I'm a college student, damnit! First, I took the biggest gulp of my life, then I threw it way. It was so smooth - I'm quite proud.

Somehow I found myself at that random Tulane frat running from the cops. We were all forced to hop a fence. I scaled this fence wearing a skirt and high heels. I did this crazy action movie move. When I got on the other side my hand was bleeding. I hope I didn't get tetanus...

Being at a party that is broken up by the cops and having to run away from them felt juuuust like home. Ah.

The next day we met up with my friend Katie from Tulane and some of her pals. It was off to Bourbon Street! We went to club Utopia and danced the night away on the stage and had too many body shots to count. Alex won me a Malibu Rum t-shirt for taking the "special" shots. I'm wearing it right now. Tiizzight!

The streetcar back at 3:00am was like a party streetcar. It was a bunch of drunk Tulane and Loyola college kids trying to party it up on the streetcar. Whenever the lights went out we all started giggling uncontrollably.

OKAY. Get this guys. I went to Tuck's the other night (it's a bar) and it was 'Ladies Night' (hell yesh!) so I got to drink for free, biatches! I'm with a shitload of people and it's crowded as hell. Alex decides that he's going to whip out his moves. HOLY CRAP you guys! The boy can DANCE! What the hell! I would get so angry with him that he wouldn't dance with me, so I always simply assumed that he must have been a bad dancer and was too embarrassed. All I can say is that I am absolutely shocked.

One of the guys working at Tuck's told us to "cool it down" because we were apparently getting too hot for them to handle. Haha!

I think my cell phone is going to explode with numbers. I don't know how much more I can fit in there. Seriously I'm worried. I might have to take people out...

What I love most about this school is how much everyone cares. People are so amazingly kind. They seem to really want to take care of you. I love the fact that I can have these wonderful, intelligent conversations during the day, then party my little booty off at night. I get that balance of being intelligent, yet still knowing how to have a good time.

Rock on.

(Yayeah!)
