How...annoying.

It seems Skuld got lucky. What a bothersome thing to do. And it had all been going SO smoothly too.

...though, I suppose there is one good thing.

I don't have to hold back anymore.

Who are you to speak of the goddess Skuld in such a manner? I have not met her incarnation in this place, but Skuld is one of a few deities to whom I am somewhat partial.

I am her elder sister.

Then that would either make you she of the present, the goddess Verdandi, or she of the past, the goddess Urd.

I'll make it easy. Present.

Ah, Verdandi then. Although you are not what I expected...

This places does tend to change people. I suppose that is no different for Norns as well. How depressing.

And your relation to us?

To you specifically? None. However, in my Duel Monster's deck, I have spells based upon the three of you.

And what do our cards do?

Change fate, of course.

Goddess Skuld's Oracle allows a peek into the future - a am permitted to see and rearrange the top three cards in my opponent's deck.

Goddess Verdandi's Guidance deals with the present at my opponent's draw. I guess the type of card on the top of the deck, and if I am correct then that card is set facedown on the field.

And Goddess Urd's Verdict involves the past. I am able to guess one of the cards my opponent has set facedown. If it is guessed correctly, then it is removed from play.

And are those powerful cards?

Each by itself not so much, but when played together, ja, they are very powerful.

Ah, that is true. If luck is on your side.
