Just when I was ready to poke my head out the door
It was a good night. My NBC affiliate has decided to get over its snit and I can now watch my Chuck from the comfort of my big purple couch. When it's actually on. And the last two episodes have rocked the house with nary a smidgen of the rampant Sarah-xploitation that I was very tired of seeing. Perhaps those Geek-girls in the Chuck audience who kept bitching over and over and over about seeing Sarah half-naked every episode made an impression. Or Josh Schwartz decided to tease us with a break. Whatever. I blame McG for all the sexist crap anyway, and enjoy the show for what it offers me.
So imagine my happy glow when, in checking cleolinda's linkspam, to see a spoiler on io9, via aintitcoolnews, regarding some Scotty action in the new Star Trek trailer. Wooo! Then I read it. Oh! I forgot! There are no girl geeks in this world. Or else we will be so blinded by Chris Pine (who?) that we won't notice the absolute unecessary shot of Uhura getting naked. Or going topless. Or simply being shown removing her top. It matters not because, no matter what the story line calls for, there is no reason for it except to titillate fanboys.
*sigh* I am tired and old. Only Simon Pegg can save me.
