Morgan sniffed the body wash suspiciously. He’d spent the night at Reid’s place and was forced to take a shower there as well. He’d learned from experience with various one night stands to always sniff test the body wash if you didn’t want to show up to work smelling of freesias or gardenias. Reid seemed to favor a mountain spring scent, one advantage to male relationships.
Morgan was whistling tunelessly when there was a pounding on the door and Reid came rushing in shirt unbuttoned and hair still wild from being unbrushed. Morgan stuck his head out of the shower and promptly had a phone shoved in his face. “Quick whenever they get on say when Irish eyes are smiling.”
Morgan took the portable phone with one hesitant and soapy hand putting it to his ear where he heard a voice enthusiastically prompt him for an answer, “ummmm When Irish Eyes are Smiling?”
“Correct! You just won two days for two at a Twin Peaks ski resort!” A flurry of transfers happened and Reid takes the phone back from him with nary a thanks leaving the bathroom.
Morgan’s curiosity is bursting but he quickly realizes that the hot water is running low and hurries to finish. When he’s finally dressed and tracked Reid down he’s waiting impatiently by the door. “Hurry up! I need to run an errand before we get to work!”
Reid carefully directs them down a back street that Morgan’s never traveled and they pull up beside a radio station. Reid puts the car and in park and looks at him expectantly. “Well? Aren’t you going to go in and get your tickets?”
Morgan getting not quite in the loop gets out and does as he was bid and standing there picking up the tickets he sees the disk jockey look out the window and watches dumbfounded as Reid waves cheerfully and the jockey cusses virulently. Grumbling the jockey hands over the envelope with the prizes.

“So I don’t know if Reid was banned from the station, or what but when that DJ looked out the window he just waved. Man I tell you some of the curses that came outta that man’s mouth.” Morgan’s deep chuckle reverberates from his chest, “if any of them actually came true Reid would be in serious trouble.”
“So what do you think Reid’s going to do with the tickets?”
“Take my cohort in crime on vacation, what else?”
Everyone turned to look at Reid, and Morgan reached out and hooked a hand around Reid’s neck and pulled him into a playful half-hold. As the team broke up to complete various paper work and time request off sheets, JJ found herself whispering, “but what was Morgan doing in Reid’s shower in the first place?”
