PRIVATE

[Private to me] Life at Hogwarts has gone to an all time low. The animosity between houses, mostly my house and Slytherin, has always been noticible, but now with the whole Justin coming out thing, the entire school is divided in to two parties, those who are okay with homosexuality and those against. Head of those who are against are all the Slytherins, except for Pucey who is gay. Draco, the president of the whole Purebloods Against Homosexuality Vendetta, uses every moment he can to bash those with "unpure" thoughts and its irritating as hell. My uncle is gay, and he got loads of crap about it. He even got a death threat over the telephone!

With things developing as they are, there will soon be duels between students, especially between Slytherin and Gryffindor as old wounds are opened. But this time, it will be different, because this time the Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw are involved too. This time around, the Slytherins are being hunted by all students, not just one house.

Maybe Dumbledore was right in wanting school unity. Looking back to 5th year and the Sorting Hat's song, I remember so many people scoffing at the idea of uniting the school under one banner. The obvious contempt between Slytherin and Gryffindor has grown so much in the past few years. Ever since I came to Hogwarts, tension has been growing and I don't think it will be released until a giant brawl happens.

Sometimes I wish I knew the Slytherins better. Not only so I could know more gossip, but so I can know their personalities. I'm sure they're are not all evil...

But maybe I'm just being naive. Maybe they are all evil, and that every single one of them wants to join You-Know-Who. Maybe their single aspiration is to have a mark burned permenently onto their forearm, and to kill and maim and torture. But if their only ambition is to serve someone, that's not true ambition is it? And since Slytherins are chosen for how ambitious they are, how can they only want to serve someone? [/private]
