What a fabulous few days it has been! Thursday night, after my Aunt flew in from Virginia, myself, and three of my aunts ventured to Downtown Toronto to watch "Mamma Mia". All I can say, was that is was beyond wonderful! This is the first professional musical I've seen since last October, when our musical theatre class went to see "Joseph and the Techni-Colour Dreamcoat", and "Mamma Mia" was just fabulous! I loved every minute of it! And am hoping to buy tickets for Christmas for my mom and dad to see! The enocre, the cast came back and sang some of the bigger hits, and the entire theatre was up, dancing, singing and just having fun! I found myself singing to all the songs during the encore, and even during the show itself! The storyline was great, and funny! And the set and costumes were awesome!
Then Friday we were up early to head down to
Niagara Falls, to spend the day there, mostly to show my Aunt Elena around, seeing as it's her first visit here to Canada. Niagara falls was so much fun! No matter how old I get, I will never get tired of that place! We got back home around 11 at night, and there, my aunts, mom and myself practised this bomba dance routine until 2 in the morning!
Saturday was the big reunion for the
Marian Church Choir, so again we were up early to get ready, plus do a final run-through of the dance. We were supposed to get there by 2, but seeing as this was a bunch of filippinos, we were there at almost 3pm. Word of advice, when telling a filippino what time to get to a certain place...don't tell them the exact time. Tell them about an hour or two earlier. For example. This reunion was to start at 2. What you're supposed to tell a filippino is the reunion starts at 1, cause even if you tell them one, they'll be there at two. =D But moving along, surprisingly we were the first people there though! And lunch was served soon after everyone else arrived. Then the adults got all loud and excited as more of the Marian's entered, so myself, my cousin Marianne, my brother Adel, my friend Margarita (Meg) and her sister Bella snuck down to the basement to our "safe" zone to get away from the adults. But our safe zone was soon figured out, seeing as the basement is large enough to be used as a dance floor, plus there was a kareoke machine (which by the way every filippino has in their home).
So I ended up performing that bomba dance routine with the aunties, plus we ended up doing these filippino songs "Ocho Ocho", "Bulaklak" and "the Spaghetti dance". If there are any people out there who have no idea what these dances are...don't ask. Trust me, you don't wanna know! Then the adults got all x-rated with their dancing, which was really gross, so we had to find yet another safe zone...i.e. the computer room! So Meg, Marianne and myself kept ourselves busy showing each other the many different wonders of our lj's, communities or other personal sites... Ohhh! But trust me, these pix are certainly worth looking at!
This is me, and my brother dancing to Ocho Ocho...
Omg, this is a moose statue at Niagara Falls, which had balls! We were laughing so hard!
This is one of my aunts, posing with the moose balls in hand!!!

p.s. Meg, what's the monkey site again, with the different colour codes? I can't seem to remember it for the life of me! Think you can leave the URL in a comment? and Marianne, that site you were telling me about, with the different fancy fonts...I have such bad memory -_-
