Beach week 2017

Aug 15, 2017 10:08

Howdy, it's Tuesday and the sun is shining and the water from Sunday's storm has receded. We had to wade to the beach. FUN. I took pics, they are over on FB and Im too lazy to post them here too.

Sunday night we had our usual Chicken Picatta, spaghetti, Spinach salad.
Monday night: Chris cooked, fajita chicken, steak and sausage/peppers and onions. Corn on the cob, and fresh veg to go on the fajitas.
Tuesday night: will be port tenderloin, (hot dogs for me) cause I want that more than tenderloin especially cause we are having sauerkraut with it. I don't usually get hot dogs at home so this is awesome.

Wed night we go to dinner out, the Flying fish is sadly no more. That was our go to place but we are going to Mako Mikes, a nice place that has lots of sea food and pizza for the kids.

We are all doing fine. The stairs are killing me though. 3 flights up from my bedroom is the living room. OY.

I've been to the beach twice so far, did not make it out Sunday so went out afternoon and evening. In the a.m. I went with Fern, Olivia and William. Kids got board real quick and went back to the house. The adults stayed a bit more and played in the surf. NOt a lot of shells, but some. I have a pile collecting.

That night after I helped clean up, I went back to the ocean alone, it was nice. The sun was setting but I could still see. Went shelling and found some fun stuff. The most fun was singing to the ocean, and having my voice melt into the surf. I'm not sure if it was the first time people sang Alexander Hamilton soundtrack to the ocean, but I think she liked it.

I feel at home. My soul is quiet. I like this feeling.

Things to do, make jewelry, beach more, swim more, read more, STRETCH MORE.
Later tater.
