This morning at 1:30 we lost my Grandma. Her family was helping her transition, with much love, laughter and the copious amount of food that Grandma would be proud of.
If you ever wondered where I get it.....
I've chosen to celebrate to good instead of the crazy. Grandma had touched many lives and would care for those who could not care for themselves. I'm reminded of the movie "I remember Momma" when the character of Uncle Kris died and two of his sisters were looking for his money that was left. Come to find out, he had used it all on Children's health care. He had a little book that he carried around where he noted where all of his money went to, with each name, amount, and if the child was helped by the medical procedure. The nice sister, wrote that the last child, "walks now" do to Uncle Kris.
That is my grandma. She left with no money, but countless people were helped and are on their feet because of her and her heart.
Goodbye Grandma. Peace be with you.
