003 ♦ [Fourth Wall]

[ It's a lovely morning to be out and about fetching supplies. Unfortunately, to do this Alfred must open the door and leave.

...sigh.

Luceti is a contained mass of pure madness. ]

I do hope our guests were civilized enough to wipe their feet before launching their invasion on unsuspecting homes. Visitations can be over in a matter of days, but ( Read more... )

[...Alfred. Robin wasn't really prepared for Alfred of all people, not when he'd been prepared to write off this entire place as a hut populated with android duplicates of people he knew at home.

He's not quite prepared to say hello. Not yet. But he'll be fine with stalking along after Alfred while he goes about his business. He's much more comfortable with lurking like a creeper than trying to bridge over a very awkward social gap.]

[ Oh, you're in for a fantastic journey, Robin. Er. Such as it is. What with there being only three stores and the butler who is greater at stocking up than anybody. With all the crowd navigating, he hasn't noticed you just yet; but there's an entire day for noticing. ]

[It's a bit of a boring journey, but Robin's of a patient sort. Because it's Alfred. There are many things to say to him, but none of them actually vocalizeable. "Hey, sorry I didn't stick around long enough to say goodbye"? "Thanks for letting me run up charges on one of Bruce's company accounts"? "I can't get a good cup of hot cocoa to come out the way it does when you make it"?]

[ Such a patient young man.

Permission to spot you, Master Dick? ]

[Permission granted. He's just about given up on a way for this to go otherwise, so perhaps he won't dart out of sight quickly enough this time. Accidentally-on-purpose.]

[ Ah, bat-kids and their stealth. Alfred uses DIRECT APPROACH. ]

[IT'S SUPER-EFFECTIVE. And also terribly awkward.]

Hey.

[ Oh, pish-posh. ]

I hope you weren't planning on spending the entire day here.

I wasn't planning on it. [At least not until he'd properly trailed you home and could set up cameras inside.]

You still have sense, then. Excellent. [ Totally handing you a grocery bag, stalker. If you're going to follow him, might as well do it where he can keep an eye on you. ]

[Fine, fine. He can do with carrying things. Just this once. Because he missed you like crazy.] ....How long have you been stuck here?

[ He's missed you, too >: Even if the version from his world is still on good terms with them by college age. ]

A little over a month, now. I can safely say it isn't usually so crowded when things are this chaotic.

[He's just a late bloomer, that one.]

I've gotten most of the rundown from Terry last night. [Or this morning. Whatever. Though he's mostly namedropping just to confirm via Alfred's reaction whether or not any of the things Terry mentioned are actually true.]

[ Firstly, a look that says "you've been out here since last night? B|" But he can move on from that. ]

Ah, so you met Master Terrance. I trust that he wasn't too abrasive? [ Nice kid; still needs some work. ]

[Without a proper hat or mittens, even! ...Though to be fair there was also a few hours also spent in the company of a buddy. That's one of the awesome benefits to actually making real friends. :|]

He's a jerk. I don't trust half of what he said. [Which would be the half where he apparently lets the manor to fall into shambles without having caught a ridiculous case of Dead first.]

[ So that's what real friends are for... hot tea is still definitely in your future, though. ]

Time paradoxes always have made for troublesome handling. I suppose only time will tell in this case. [ Nothing to get overly concerned about. Being overly concerned is the butler's job :|b ]
