Starting tomorrow- reducing my thyroid med from 88 MCG to 75 MCG. Lab result still too high .I was too low and the summer dr I had increased it so much, I went overboard and overdosed. I was taking 50 MCG and he increased it to 150 MCG., With thyroid problems, if yoiur numbers are high, it means you're hypo and if your numbers are low, it means yoiu're hyper. Seems backwards to me but that's how they figure .I was getting overdosed with MAJOR effects.Increasing my Amatryl from 2 MG to 4 MG. Now trying to get the numbers to normal. Now i really have to eat right if I don't want my blood sugar to go too low. Easy to do if I don't eat enough protein and calories with the pill.My A1C was still too high although it went from 7.3 to 6.8 in six weeks, The doc wants it lower. When I first found out I was diabetic 4 years ago, my A1C was 8.9.
So I have made some progress.
So that's my exciting news for today.
