[Voice]

[This post comes up about an hour after the draft announcement and her reaction to it. It's cool, simple, to the point. Whoever wants to run into her will run into her during the course of the next day or two (and feel free to action that!) when she goes about "business as usual." Fur now, she's been training in magic and hand to hand, ( Read more... )

[ he glances over the post... that's haruhi, right? formerly ki. whatever. the werewolf grinds his teeth.

at least with bil, people going usually had some sort of reward. something more than 'just live' to motivate them. something to... even make it feel like it's more of a choice. ]

I picked up on how to shoot a rifle back home. [ but he doesn't have any use for that. ]

No, not a rifle.

[That comes out in one breath. Rifles are long ranges, rifles are set up, rifles kill. It's not something you're defensive with, it's something you're offensive with. The police use pistols sometimes, right? They save people. She doesn't want... no.]

[ A pause on his end. He runs his fingers through his hair - it's growing shaggy, he'll need to cut it before he rushes off into danger.

The third party are no different from vampires in his mind. Sure... they break easier, but they're still out to rob people of the lives that they're given. That's how he gets on by. ]

Maybe someone should set up a class...

Maybe they should but there's less than fifty hours. Whatever anyone should do, right now that's irrelevant!

[Harsh. She's taking it out on him but she doesn't even know this guy, or at least the voice isn't ringing important bells. So who cares?]

Panicking isn't going to help anyone right now.

[ given that he's used to dealing with people like leah and bella, he barely bats an eye. ]

Whatever time we have is time to prepare... [ actually. ] I'll see about setting that up. I know a few weapons masters who can help, no problem.

Then shut up and go do it!

[Panicking? Panicking?! You stupid- she roars quietly in frustration and fear, deciding anger is better than terror]

[She snorts here before inhaling deeply. Whoever that was... well, who cares who that was. If they have something important to say maybe they'll speak up again]

[ he'll slide on back in after making that announcement, grabbing a pair of scissors.

he'll just be cutting his hair while he talks. angora wolves aren't in season this year. ]

So it's Haruhi, right?

[...So he's back]

And if I remember right, you run the SOS Brigade. [ snip, snip, snip. short hair feels bizarre again. ] So, you must be use to giving orders to keep everyone working together, right?

...I'm not a military commander, if that's what you're getting at.

[ holding his hands up. ] Not at all!

I was just gong to say - sometimes, the best thing you can do is be there to unite the people. They'll fall into place under a strong leader.

[...!

"A good leader makes people want to follow them. They don't just decide they're in charge and expect people to follow."

Could she do that with people outside of the Brigade?]

[...Of course she could]

That's right, isn't it?

They're going to need someone to give them confidence. You might be just the girl.
