Life is good, I'm in a peachy mood despite being back at work on 7-4 shifts, then again its good to get home early! still lookin for a better job!
Also:
Iv'e started the 50 book challenge again!:D
Last year I managed 90 books and had a great time with keeping track, can't imagine I'll read as much this year since I've finished my English Lit course but i'd be happy to make it to 50!:)
1. "The Gun Seller" By Hugh Laurie
It is sinful how multi-talented this man is. An actor/comedian/ fantastic musician AND writes this brilliantly. *sigh* This is one of those books that is very easy to read, not just because it is very funny but also because the main character is so likeable and the story is convincing while still being interesting. One of the best books I've read in years:D
PS. Any one read his other book "paper soldiers"?
2."the Valiant Papers" by Calvin Miller.
This is the written report of a sinful life as told by his gaurdian Angel, Valiant. Found in a bus station by a pastor who is mesmerized by the strange papers. i like the report style and sometimes its downright poetic. It may or may not be geared towards religious education and the tone was a little "learn from this" sometimes but its interesting and well written with cool artwork.
3. " Buffy the Vampire Slayer:Long way home" by Joss Whedon.
Much MUCH better than the graphic novels than whedon didnt have a hand in. They were just evil for the fans who actually paid money to subject themselves to that amount of rubbish.lol (can you tell I was disappointed?;) This was worth it though!:D
4. "Trigun #1" By Yasuhiro Nightow.
This is a re-read. one of my favourite sagas ever. Its funny, silly and still beautiful. I love the world that nightow has made, i'm going to re-read the second one too- these are the ones that sparked the "maximum" series and the great anime. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!;)
Thats all for now but am 1/3 through "World war Z" by max Brooke which is awesome.
