do you run an art gallery or something? it seems like you're always putting on really good shows, or something like that

i love brenna's sculptures! and that last collage of hers is great - it reminds me of ray yoshida's work

well... "or something."
i'm an artist, but this year i was asked to curate a show and i made it a major project. in the end there were twenty artists, two galleries, three live performances, two screenings, and involvement with the berlin film festival. bit by bit i've been recording the show here with the idea that eventually there will be a parallel virtual exhibition for those who can't come to berlin. though actually, the show will get a tight remix this fall: a space in san francisco has asked to host it, and brenna will do some work there (sans a medium like matthew). i'm excited.

the show is called psychometry and if you hit that tag it brings up all the posts about this one, two-part, exhibition. it runs through may 2nd, and i've yet to cover everyone, so expect a few more.

Hi DL, Thanks so much for this wonderful detailed post!!! The installation looks totally fantastic!!! So elegant and playful. It is really delightful for me to see how another human has translated my "vision". To notice which elements he chose to use... very special! Looking at it sort of gives me another way of looking at my own work... this seems like a very useful exercise. It would be nice if every artist could have another artist do a piece in their style. An illuminating experience ( ... )

Hi Brenna. Oh, I'm so happy you like it, Matthew will be too. He put a lot thought into it, and like I mentioned, this is a very parred down version of what he was originally thinking ( ... )
