The following are examples of their work individually, and the work that was Matthew's attempt to channel Brenna.
Interestingly enough, Matthew came to the gallery with a bag full of exactly what anyone who has seen a few of Brenna's installations might expect, but when it came to making the work he discovered that it was harder to step into someone else's shoes than he thought. We ended up playing a series of games with the objects and that seemed to free him. The ends was an excellent meeting place: a work that was neither simply someone making a Brenna Murphy sculpture, nor a Matthew Lutz-Kinoy work, but something that had a share of each of ...
