[Usagi had spent most of the evening jogging, just to try and clear her head. As she jogs past the Brigade HQ, a fly ball startles her and she lets out a rather loud shriek before stumbling backwards and falling unceremoniously onto her ass.

Cue wailing in 3, 2, 1. Go!]

[give her a couple of minutes to stop her wailing for attention and notice that another baseball has been hit.

there we go. She stands up, and picks up the first ball that startled her, and stomps her way towards where Haruki is. When she notices who it is, she puffs up her cheeks angrily and tosses it at him.

You can't just go playing baseball in the dark! I swear, when one of the balls came out from nowhere, I about died! It was so scary. Of course, I shouldn't be walking around this late at night, but I got nervous again, so I went on a jog and... [Oh. Wait. She raises a brow when he looks away, and purses her lips, stomping closer to him, picking up stray balls as she does so.]

What are you doing playing by yourself?

Just batting practice, that's all.

[...Guh. what is he even supposed to say he doesn't- this-]

O-Oh. It's kind of late for that, don't you think? [She's not trying to tell him what to do, but it is kind of late. She drops the baseballs she picked up into the basket.]

Want someone to throw for you? I bet batting practice is easier with a pitcher.

O-Oh. All right. It seems like you're... [she sighs and then forces out a laugh] I guess it doesn't matter.

[She plays with the hem of her shirt for another moment, and then;] I should probably go. You should, too. You need to your sleep, too, Chief.

[Dammit he should. He walks on over to her, silently like. It's times like this where he's more keenly aware how he towers of her. Hell, how he towers over most people important to him. He's the man here, right? So that means he should... well. He should be able to do something. He finally, regardless of her resistance or anything, bends down to hug her. A bit hug tight which pulls her in all strongly like]

[It's a little shocking, so much so that she lets out a quiet squeak, but she doesn't try to pull away. It takes her a moment, but she wraps her arms around him and gives him a tight squeeze. She felt immensely relieved that he wasn't mad at her, and it wasn't hard to figure out what was bothering him--Hell, it was bothering everyone she knew.]
