I've been meaning to make a general post, just haven't gotten around to it. First and foremost, HAPPY BIRTHDAY
_subdivisions_!!! Sorry I'm late in my well wishes.
Excel Saga....oh Excel Saga. There's only one more volume that's currently available that I can get ahold of, and I swear it's like a bad addiction. Can't get enough! Nevermind that the story is still just as random and chaotic as always. At least Across makes sense now and finally, though what kind of name is Xeez?
Tomorrow is day one at new job. I'm very much looking forward to it, but nervous. I always get this way, even though I know I can do the job in my sleep (which if I can't successfully get to that state soon I may have to prove). I'm very confused about how the whole timecard thing is going to work out, but since everyone in training will be in the same position I'm sure something will get covered, informally if nothing else. Ah, the joys of working for a temp agency.
DnD is going well enough, though there's a certain amount of party infighting that I'm tempted to intervene in. I'm generally happy to let everyone just play as long as they are having fun, but it's starting to push that a touch. As a DM, in game, I am having the damnedest time getting encounters well balanced. I know that crappy die rolling is accounting for some of my woes (if the Deathlock Wight had hit with ANY attack the last fight would have turned out much differently). But at the same time the party wisely took it down first, so he never got the opportunity to raise another undead after it had been destroyed. Oh well, only have to plan out one more undead encounter and then I can run some travel encounters then the social aspects back in town. So many storylines, so fun, so little brainpower left at the end of a session....
The Jags aren't doing too well this season. I'm hoping that once the front offensive line is all mended up that things will change. We'll see.
