China usually can't tell what Hong Kong's thinking, but brothers will be brothers. They get along fairly well, despite the fact that Hong Kong will sometimes pop out of nowhere and startle him. Also, unknown to China, Hong Kong's Genger likes him A LOT. So much that she often uses her ghost abilities to follow China around without being noticed...

Even so, China really does enjoy his company. In the past, these two Nations have had their spats, but in the present day they seem to be getting along fairly well. One thing China just can't get over though, is Korea's obsession with his breasts chest.

China found France in New Bark Town since the two had arrived around the same time. Along with Mammon, the two traveled together until France returned to New Bark Town to retrieve Canada. China has gotten to know France much better here in Johto than back home and the two often engage in friendly conversations. However, the conversations often take awkward turns. Either France bursts into tears or China gets flustered by his flirting, which he can never get used to.
When Marianne was still a Vulpix, she used Ember on China, giving him a burn on the chest, but she failed to leave a scar. China believes that Marianne is a fox demoness who's been sent to torture him, but France remains oblivious to Marianne's hostility.
Despite the fact that they do not see eye to eye with some things, with the Western and Eastern world being so different, China enjoys talking to France as well as his company.

China and Netherlands have respect for each other and get along fairly well. Besides the fact that they both smoke, the two also have a liking to small, cute things. Except, China doesn't hide it. Both have interests in making money, although China tends to make things too extravagant at times with his fancy Chinatowns, as well as saving it..
Though they do business differently, China likes having conversations with Netherlands and he too has gotten to strengthen his alliance/friendship with him. The two are currently housemates in Nanao's house at Goldenrod.

★ ♛ ❤ ♡ ♧ ✖ENVYEnvy and China first met back in New Bark Town. At first, he was suspicious of Envy, but with time, he slowly warmed up to him. In fact, he even rescued Envy from freezing to death, along with Miguel and Tulio.
China has definitely gotten to know Envy better over the time he's been in Johto and he's even shared some personal things about himself with Envy as well. When China was possessed by a wild Gengar, Envy was one of the people who saved him, but it was he who took China to the Center. Then, during the Shedinja incident, they both saw each other's dreams in the nightmare world. In China's dream, Envy got an inside look into China's past, then in Envy's dream, China saw the Gate. He also witnessed Envy transform into a dragon, which amazed him to the core. If Envy had not said anything, China most likely would have ended up giving offerings of food and jewelry to Envy (since he and his people once saw the dragons as gods, or beings just below the gods).

China and Cooper have had many conversations and have talked just about anything, from strange occurrences on Route to simply enjoying the landscape. When the two first met, China did not tell Cooper that he was one of the personified countries, but the secret didn't stay in for too long. China, being a bit over-cautious at times, was surprised to hear that Cooper found it interesting that human countries existed, just as China was surprised to discover that Nations are just land masses with no embodiment in other worlds.
Cooper often asks China questions about the other personified Nations, what it was like for him growing up, and how Tibet is. Usually, when China asks Cooper about his personal life he doesn't give a straight answer, or none at all. This only makes China more curious, but he respects Cooper's privacy since he knows how uncomfortable it can be when someone tries to pry their way into your life.
China trusts Cooper and thinks he is a smart, reasonable man. Cooper was also one of the persons that helped China when he was being possessed by the wild Gengar.

When China first saw Ivan, he thought he was Russia. However, after taking a closer look, he realized that this man had blue eyes and slightly longer hair. China raised a Magikarp into a Gyarados for Ivan. He then headed for Mahogany Town as quickly as possible.
China and Raikov did travel together briefly and China took a liking to the Russian, even if he did crotch grab him once and got one his nerves at times. China sort of thought himself as a kind of guardian for Raikov, because really... though the Russian certainly did have skills worth mentioning, China worried about him sometimes.

When Romano first saw China, he thought the Chinese man was a woman. He never truly believed that China was a man until he saw his flat chest and the scar on his back. China doesn't understand why Johto has taken Romano from the past, but he goes with it anyway. The two get along relatively well. Romano asks questions about the future and China gives him truthful answers (though Romano does not believe him most of the time). China even made Romano a red silk shirt once since the little Italian wanted to give a present to Adelheid.
Even after seeing China's flat chest, Romano still has doubts about his gender. China and Romano have had several arguments about the differences between the East and West, though neither of them seems to win in the end.

Despite what France and Prussia say, China enjoys talking to Mammon and can't see why the other two Nations tremble at the mention of her name. Although she does scare him sometimes, he wouldn't want it any other way...Or, actually, stop doing that laugh would be nice...

China was introduced to Luci by her sister Mammon. For awhile, he traveled with the two sisters until his own two brothers showed up . Despite not having traveled together in so long, China continues to chat with Luci every now and then.
Although... he really wishes she would stop teasing him for every good comment he makes about her. He's aware that she's only joking, but still, it flusters him quite a lot.

During the Shedinja incident, however, Ed found Yao in his nightmare and that is when he revealed that he was the embodiment of China. Despite being confused, Ed reassured China that even though he was a non-human, he would not look down on him, for it's his actions that count. Though Ed seems a bit distant nowadays, the two continue to hold a good friendship.

Canon-wise and historical-wise, China and England have had a rocky relationship. Here in Johto, however, the two have been able to have more peaceful conversations, as well as getting to know each other better. During the Shedinja Incident, England was the one who had to carry a soulless China to the Center.
China can definitely understand the time period England has been taken from since his country was hit hard too, so he is careful of what he says. He reveals little bits of the future to England, but nothing too graphic. China would rather not take any chances and mess up time.
