[Hey Route! Wondering why China hasn't responded since the train incident? Well, it's morning in Saffron City. When the feed turns on, China is seen sitting at a table belonging to one of the cafés. Things look normal as he calmly sips on a cup of green tea and there's a plate of fresh cut fruit lying in front of him. However, as Meimei pans

[Hey there Yao- it's you best buddy ever :D
He actually seems very... subdued for the moment, the Russian sporting a rather unnattractive set of panda eyes, his nose covered in gauze and medical tape. It's all rather sloppy admittedly, but he doesn't appear to be bothered.]
... How are you healing?
[Because this isn't awkward.]

Are you trying to get caught?!
[He takes a brief moment to study the other's face. Surely he didn't do all that, right?]

This is not the place to talk. We should go somewhere with less people, or no people at all, aru.
[He eats the last piece of fruit on his plate before shuffling through his bag for the money to pay for the meal.]

Am not in uniform, and have kept quiet until coming here; Am smarter than you give me credit for.
[He swallows down what looks to be a little discomfort before moving forward, watching the smaller man look for his money, giving a small glance to the doorway as he did so.]
You have somewhere in mind for this talk? Am barely knowing way back to Hospital, let alone around Saffron.

[He fishes out his money and leaves it on the table. Nevermind change (he had plenty of money thanks to all those jobs he's worked). He moves his wheelchair in the direction of the door, though he goes at an easy pace so that they can be side by side.]
We can go back to the hospital. I have my own room there and I can fabricate a lie to tell the nurse about your presence.

[There's Minnie after all, and with a belt full of her pokémon he doesn't really want to bump into her again just yet.]
Is room secluded? Away from others? People seem to know is me even in outfit and mask afterall.
[Because a hulking mass of brat that speaks in broken English isn't noticeable in all its guises. Nope.]

It's in one of the corners of the building and I share it with no one, aru. The nurses won't come running unless they hear a commotion going on. Oh, and could you open the door?
[Since he can't, you know stand up and open it himself. He was able to get into the café only because someone had been kind enough to get the door for him.]

...
[He'll just stare a little longer before speaking.]
When will be out of that chair anyway? Is not permanent... Is it?
Reply
No, it's not that serious. They say I can be put on crutches within the next week or two, aru. Even so, it's annoying... Having only one arm and one leg to use.
[His voice contains some bitterness, though it's not as venomous as it could have been.]

I did tell you not to attack me Yao. Is not my fault Alfred's idiotic ideals of 'heroism' are so sought after in your 2010.
[The almost sulky tone just about cuts through the icy hints on his words, the Russian feeling more than a little cantankerous all things considered.]
Is not my fault you did not ignore me.
Reply
Though I will say that I am no longer under control of any foreign nation, aru.
[Though the mention of Alfred does make him remember how he eventually sided with America rather than the USSR.]

[He stays silent after giving his comment, looking particularly uncomfortable at what China's insinuating, but he follows regardless.]
What exactly are you going to tell me Yao? How much are you going to divulge?
Reply
We were at war, I had other things to attend to, aru. Then if I was told to go and provide help, I would obey without question because I was too tired to argue back.
[He can see the building on the horizon now.]
Just what has happened to me and the world. [Though he would be careful not to reveal too much.]

He supposed he'd have to take a leap of faith, which is why there was such hestitation- it'd been a while since he'd been so trusting, or had done anything of this magnitutde on his own. It wasn't exactly a nice sensation.]
... Fine. You are going to tell me regardless I imagine.
[The words are barely a mutter, the soviet securing the peeling tape on his nose gingerly with his fingers before continuing to speak.]
Might as well get whole debacle done with now.

[He waits for the other to open the door for him and once its open he leads the way to his room. Nurse Joy stopped him for a moment to ask how he had enjoyed the fresh air and expressed curiosity at Ivan's presence. Yao explained that Ivan was a friend visiting him and Nurse Joy believed him (technically he wasn't completely lying). She opened the door to China's room for them and closed it once the two men were inside ( ... )

He took the seat he was directed to, watching as Yao wheeled himself over, the soviet doing little other than listen for the moment, his brows raising as the other man told him the news.]
You make that sound like bad news- to think, in only 8 years time, we will be one politically~
[He was expecting the cold shoulder for a lot longer admittedly. Alot longer. However...]
There is... More to this, I expect, yes?
