Topher finally picked up the last of his things from my house and my storage unit. I fired him from the shop the other day. He just went one step too far. I was out of town on a ski trip this last weekend. I had asked him to keep his new girlfriend out of the shop. He agreed to that, said it was the least he could do as I was being so cool about

I had given him an apprenticeship. He was learning how to tattoo FOR FREE! Just one more opportunity he threw away. He says he is only moving back to Texas to save some money to get back here. He won't...he will never come back here. Pat, the guy he was living with, threw him out. He had been living there since I threw him out back at the beginning of October. He had only been paying him $100 a month! No utilities or anything else. Then this girl shows up two weeks before Christmas and is still there! She just never left. Sat her ass in Pat's house with Topher, and that's it. Amazing. So Pat got sick of it all and asked them to leave. He told them his wife is coming home early from Iraq, which is true actually, but not for weeks yet.
So, they are driving back to Frisco Texas to live with her mom....for free!
He has no job, no money and a HUGE appetite. Feeding him cost me a fortune when he was living with me. Oh well... good riddance I say.
You sound as if you are doing so well. Lisa sounds busy and happy too.
My shop is so slow right now. I am painting and re-arranging. I am getting a new floor put in as the old one looks like crap now. So, black and white ceramic tiles are going to be put in. YAY!
We miss you too......there are new shops opening every week it seems here. So many terrible artists and bad shops. I wish you were back here with Lisa. My offer still stands for you to be a guest artist at the shop this summer. We are busy as hell when the weather is warmer.
You know the only thing that makes me sad about Topher leaving? I did a fricken' amazing portrait on his arm of Nosferatu. It was beautiful. I wanted to use a belt sander to repo it before he left, but Jeff stopped me heheheheh
