Selling myself like a piece of meat.

Yesterday was the Job Fair at Illinois Wesleyan. There were only 14 school districts there from the north and west suburbs. Lines were understandably long, but I was able to interview with nine of those districts.

The two school districts that appear to be the frontrunners are Lyons Township who really was impressed by my resume and Maine Township who I feel I had the strongest interview with. I also had good showings at Plainfield, Lake Park, and Yorkville as well.

On a whim, I interviewed with New Trier. For those that don't know, they are one of the top schools in the nation located just off the lake shore in Winnetka. I gave him answers that impressed other schools, but it seemed that I needed to stop just short of dancing for his amusement to get a reaction out of him. Ah well, I don't think that they would be a good fit for me, and it's good to know that I'm not willing to whore myself out to the highest bidder.

Now, I need to decide if I'm willing to drive out to the College of DuPage on 2/2 for the next major job fair. It's time to start those online applications and the begging for letters of recommendation.
