Chapter 4

After I graduated high school, my life bounced all over the place. I didn't have an urge to go to college and I had absolutely no idea what I was going to do with my life. I spent one semester in junior college, which consisted of one class that I never went to. After that, I found what I thought was my calling and enlisted in the Army. I spent the next 4 years serving as a combat medic.

I saw some terrible things.

My parents almost stopped talking to me because of my decision. All those rich people tend to look down on their children joining the Armed Forces. When I was discharged, I spent two years as a firefighter. Again, my parents hated me for choosing such a low paying job.

My dad tried to convince me to work for him. He even sent me on a 2 month vacation to London. A few weeks after I got back, I spend a week in the middle of nowhere. I hunted, fished and acted like a cowboy. It was supposed to be a 2 week trip. I got the phone call in the middle of the night.

"I'm sorry, but your parents have been killed in a car accident."

Killed on the way home by a drunk driver.

I inherited damn near everything and turned around and sold it all. I was never a fan of extravagence. I started renting an apartment downtown and picked up a job at a Free Care Clinic. All because I didn't want to be bored.

As of right now, I'm worth over 10 million dollars.
