She WAS the one who "killed" Rory, right?

Don't think so. She was identical to her physically, yes, but there were two in the Silurian episode to begin with. Perhaps they come in batches.

Thanks for setting that straight for me! I just watched The Hungry Earth/Cold Blood today with my best friend and realized that there was no mention of Vash (I believe that's her name.) I suppose she's from a different conflict? Either way, she was one of the only characters to grab my interest this episode.

...and by Vash, I apparently mean "Vastra". I fail at listening.

Thank god for you. I came away from that episode with all my worst fears confirmed. It's bad fanfic.

Also, Rose has nothing on Amy-sue, queen of the Mary-sues and her teim babeh River-sue who shall go on to kill and marry the doctor because she's SO AWESOME.

God I threw up a little in my mouth.

Lol thank you for the comment! There is some definite fanficy writing going on. River actually won me over last series, but this year she's just bothered me. And if I were Alex Kingston I would be pretty pissed to find out this big secret about her character after playing her for three years, as it's something that probably would have drastically changed how she played the character. It makes all her past interactions with Amy and Rory just - odd.

It's also strange how she just now reacted to Rory as her father and never in any of the other times she met him. Only because he's going to find out? How'd she know he'd find out now, wouldn't that be a spoiler for her future? Or is it that she can see timelines as well... I'd have preferred if she acted just as usual around Rory instead of suddenly being so ... soft.

Thank you! :-) It's just the first thing that comes to mind when I think about someone pulling something out of their ass, metaphorically or not!

About the gay couple. One thing (except the thrown away gay agenda and too much metaness on their account) really bothered me. One of them get's their head chopped of and the other doesn't care? Would have been nice to see him turn to the Doctor's side or at least any kind of reaction to this, to make him, you know, a real character.

I think there was a quick shot of the Thin One looking at a Headless Monk who was most likely his now headless husband and looking upset. I agree with you, he definitely could have had a bigger reaction. I assume that maybe is in part to not having enough time in an already packed episode.

I miss the gay agenda. :-( I liked seeing homosexuality in the future as being a totally normal, non-issue! That's what I hope the future will be like!
