Making a Dent

Finally, I'm actually getting the energy to work on these pics more for the game...Let's see how this weekend will go. I'm actually feeling under the weather right now }: My stomach is killing me.

Good news is that this week I started school! At the beginning of this week I talked to almost nobody but then finally, on the 3rd day of orientation we were given more opportunities to talk to our fellow classmates, and many people are really nice! It's just the 18 yr-old girly girls are really intimidating ^^;) I often get intimidated by that age girl. They swarm together and then all I seem to hear is, "Like omg!" Anyway, they swarm. I'm sure they are okay. But in our class of 28 ppl, there are like 6 of these girls that all sit together so they kinda stick out, then there's the socially awkward everyone else (including me?).

Today we had our first class, which was "Dessan" which comes from the French, "dessin" and it's what Japanese ppl call traditional drawing. We just pretty much were lectured and drew various boxes. It's funny, I wonder if I'm just stereotyping myself as a loud American, but I was the only person responding to the instructor for almost the entire class. He'd be like, "So, have any of you seen this before?." "Yes." Then I'd look around and notice I was the only one saying anything. But having been an instructor myself, I know how painful it is to speak to a dead class...So I really can't help but want to help him out...I wonder how I'm coming across to ppl ^^;)

One of the first friends I made is Vietnamese and she works 6-hr shifts at a restaurant as a waitress...It made me think about how I don't wanna work that long and how I need to try and get that permit to work so I can find a job already. The equivalent of her situation for me would be an American restaurant. But I've seen the conditions Hooters girls work in and I think that's a no-go. Anything with mandatory spandex is a no.
