dogs like mookies

there's nothing like a few days at my parents house to really recognize the return of spring. my parents have been in oregon and northern california for the past week visiting me. heh. i rescued the doggies from the kennel on tuesday, so i know they're psyched that i didn't stay out there. i have to take them back later today so i can begin my gruelling saturday/sunday shifts of 3-2 and 11-8. woohoo. at least i'm making money during the hours that i'd be most likely to spend it. i have an interview on tuesday for this day camp in south-SOUTH philly. while i'm jonesing for some full-full weeks and kiddo time, i'm not entirely sure about working 60+ hours a week. if i do get the job this schedule would only last for just over two months, but as emily said "jenna, this was supposed to be the summer of fun." there are some things to consider: we just got the house in fishtown, @ columbia and girard. (its real cute/full of character, has a backyard and w/d and is not my car. we're set to move in May 1st rounding out a year of "homelesness" for me. emily, sean and i will be finding the hidden space in our trinity and having a housewarming party in the near future.) my dad has been expecting me to pick the car payments back up since i put them down with my return from cali. that gnarly speeding ticket. i want to go backpacking in the himalayas in the fall ("everyone has an india period"-evan), because the day-to-day seems a lot more awesome when theres an adventure waiting on the horizon. i'd like to stop thinking/obsessing/talking about cashflow.
sean came out to the pipersville ranch with me after i worked on thursday and we commenced a lazy-ass hang, watched some movies and got pizza and beers at the old capri bar on 611. this would not have been complete without seeing a few of my more "rural" classmates. we woke up way early to get him to the train and i had a little spring butt-crack-early saturday nostalgia of soccer and xc. i've also already got a few chores out of the way and its not even eleven (i think i'd like to stop keeping the hours of someone who works at a bar.) i finally got an estimate on the little bump a narberth-ite put on the jetta ($1300! jesus. i have no grasp of the cost of autobody repair these days.) and im hoping dude doesn't act like he doesn't know what i'm talking about when i call, cause i'm not totally prepared to be agressive yet.
well, thats that.
