soooooo i scraped together some extra cash today and decided to look for a new doll. one that i was DYING for and was so excited to finally get this weekend. it took several trips to a couple different stores (SIGH, i should have trusted my instincts and gone to the last one first, since i was out there anyway, but noooo stupid me goes "nah I'm sure she'll be at the Target by my house like the website said she would...") but i did find her! and instead of just TEARING HER OPEN like i usually do with dolls, i took some photos of her unboxing.
spectra, duh! she was at target for $18.89 as advertised -- the store by my house had restocked and finally got something in other than frankies, but all they had was dotd clawdeen, cleo, and frankie and classroom ghoulia, none of which i wanted. the target downtown had a ton of new stuff in, including a couple school's out and classroom dolls, and two abbeys! and wow, is abbey's hair beautiful in person. and of course there was a lone spectra sitting right out in front of the shelf! i was so ecstatic to finally find her; she's beautiful in pictures but even more gorgeous in person.
of course the one i found isn't in perfect condition -- when i got her out her hair was quite tangled (a lot of it fell out while i was brushing it, trying to get it in some kind of order) and she has some kind of light spot on her face and a tiny scratch on one leg, but it's not really noticeable unless you're looking.
sigh. her FACE. spectras are so photogenic, aren't they?
and i figured i'd take some shots of my draculauras while i was at it! basic and gloom beach, who i'm gonna take to the lake sometime and get a couple nice shots of her instead of these boring indoor ones. you can't see it here but my gb ula usually hangs out shoeless -- i'm just not crazy about her shoes, idk.
