Wow.

FOW was AMAZING!

(And, just for you, Robert, FOW means Festival of Winds - a band thing held at USF)

I had a horrible, horrible audition, because there was an accident and we got there late and I didn't warm up at all, and they asked me to do a chromatic scale, which I didn't practice too much because they said I didn't have to do one. My prepared piece was ok, but they asked me to start in a weird spot and it wasn't as good as I had played it before. And I wasn't in a room, I was on a stage, under a spotlight, and my old section leader from 10th grade was one of my judges, so it was a little uncomfortable. But my sight reading, which is usually my worst, was the best. Go figure. All in all, I made 12th chair in the symphony band. I know I could have placed a few chairs higher if I had a warm up, but I had an awesome person sitting next to me, and we really worked well together (he never remembered his stand and I never had a pencil....a match made in musical heaven). And I'll only say one of the 56209864534 inside joke: RABBITS!!!!

But really, it was a fantastic experience, and I strongly encourage everyone to try out for it.

What else....hmmm...

Gave blood today. The most fun I've ever had while being poked with a needle. Andrea and I always go at the same time so we can make fun of the questionnaire ("Hey Andrea, have I ever been pregnant?" "I don't remember, Lindsay. Am I a prostitute?") and so we can make funny faces at each other. I had everyone applauding for my friend Brent because it was his first time donating, and there was a kid that I knew from elementary school who didn't remember me at all, but that's ok. And this other girl wound up having the same blood type as me and Andy (O+) so I've inducted her into our very cool club.

Well I think that's it for tonight. Chemistry homework, ahoy!
