Bollywood rocks my socks
Friday night I went with a friend to see a Bollywood movie called Veer-Zaara at a movie theater in Paris's 14th arrondissement. When I was living in Ft. Lauderdale, my sister and I used to watch this show on one of the public access networks where extracts from Bollywood films were turned into a sort of music video show. I LOVED the videos and always wanted to watch a Bollywood movie, but I never really got the chance. So Friday was the first time I'd seen a full length Bollywood film, and let me tell you it was awesome!All 3 hours of it! It was very colorful and festive, full of dancing and singing, the music was beautiful, the story was good, having as a background the conflict between Pakistan and India, and it had my favorite Bollywood star (and about the only one whose name I know), Shahrukh Khan! I don't know if it's the case with every single Bollywood film, but I think at least the most part are like musicals, so just about every main actor in the film sings and dances. Very cool. Anywho, for anyone interested, I recommend seeing this film. It rocked.
