Tadaima!!
I'm home!!! Yey! Sun. Warmth. Family. Mom's cookin', Wendy's Spicy chicken sandwiches, buffalo wings, IHOP, Domino's pizza, La Bamba carnitas, Jamaica beef patties, Taco Bell, Haitian food, Antojito's Mexicanos's tortas de milanesa...Oh joy!!! It's good to be home!
I got home Friday evening (so naughty naughty May skipped work on Friday tehehehe)and I've been chillin at home nursing my new cold (courtesy of my sis Jackie).
Before coming home, I of course could not leave without something happening. So on the Paris - New York leg of my trip, the airline caterers decided to go on strike. That's an 8 hour flight by the way. The airline had to scramble and find us some cold food for the trip, pushing back our departure time by an hour. Thank goodness I had a 4 hour wait in NY before my flight to Ft. Lauderdale. Lately everything in France is crazy (well not that things ever work that effeciently in France anyway). Student demonstrations agains the CPE, transportation strikes, school strikes (making my work week last week a total of 3 hours)...catering strikes lol. Oh I'm just lucky I didn't have to fly earlier! My friend Claudia's flight from Dublin to Paris got canceled because the air traffic controllers in France went on strike, and the poor girl had to shell out another 200 euros to get back to Paris. Usually I'm the one with the bad luck, but I think a little of my crap luck rubbed off on he. Now, however, she is safely at home in the US. I'm really sad she left, but I'm sure I'll see her again.
Speaking of Dublin, I really liked it there. It was nice, the people were really nice and helpful, the food was good....all in all it was a good trip. I hope to go back someday.
Well I had better finish getting ready. I'm supposed to go to the IRS today and ask questions about my taxes. I may acutally have to *gasp* pay taxes this year!!! I reallly hope not...
