Though his overall dislike for the other boy was far from unknown, Andy still hated to see other people hurt. That was, afterall, more than a small part of the reason he had started down his career path.

Knowing the question would probably do more harm than good, Andy bit the proverbial bullet and asked, "Are you okay, Miles?"

In hindsight, he realized that was probably the first time he had said the other boy's name in recallable memory. Oh well, first time for everything.

"Just peachy," he said, obviously sarcastic. Andy's voice sounded muffled and Miles figured maybe some of the poison had reached further than he had first expected.

Looking at the not so hidden trail of blood between the door and the other boy, Andy said, more seriously, "Bletchley... you don't look good... Are you sure you don't need to go to the hospital wing?"

Yeah - the hospital wing - where he'd have to think of a very good excuse for both Pomfrey and Maeve. Not gonna happen.

"I'm a fucking Healer apprentice, Athiel, what the fuck would I need the hospital wing for? "

Raising his hands in exasperation, Andy said, "Fuck it, fine. Bleed to death if I care," before turning on his heel, grabbing a book, and exiting back the way he came.

It was a strange sight to walk in on. Nearly colliding with Andy, he narrowly avoided getting smacked by the boy's book when he ducked inside. What he saw was rather curious. He looked down at the ground first, and nearly blanched at the sight of the blood. The trail led his eyes to Miles Bletchley and he rose an eyebrow.

"You two fighting already?" he asked, before going to his bed.

"Athiel wouldn't have gotten close enough to me to do this," he sneered. "And if he did, he wouldn't be walking."

Miles stopped talking before he would have to explain any more about his injuries.
