"Wow, Walter. You sure have a lot of...stuff," Scooter couldn't help remarking as he walked into the new apartment of the Muppets' newest family member. The Muppets had done all they could to make 'The Whistling Caruso', as Rowlf had dubbed him at one point, feel welcome including helping him move. For Scooter, this meant helping Walter get his computer, internet and wireless network set up.
He'd been forewarned by Fozzie and Gonzo that Walter was a bit obsessed with the Muppets; they'd helped the new kid move into his new place, and afterward had casually mentioned some of the more interesting items in Walter's collection (as well as his occasional 'fan-boy' moments). At first Scooter though that they'd been bluffing, but that was before he got his first glimpse of Walter's apartment.
Then he knew that they'd been understating.
Walter's apartment seemed to be filled from corner to corner with all kinds of Muppet memorabilia, a lot of which Scooter remembered to have been quite popular in the 70s and 80s. From Scooter's estimation, it was a riot of Muppet collectables.
Walter grinned at Scooter's observation. "It's just my Muppet collection," he answered modestly. "I've had it since I was a kid. Gary actually helped me with a lot of it."
"It's okay to miss him, you know," Scooter commented. Once they'd been assured that Walter was fine and settled in with his new found family, Gary and Mary had headed back to Smalltown, USA with the promise that Walter and all of the Muppets were invited out to attend the wedding. "At least you know where he is."
"Yeah," agreed Walter. "It's not like he's lost in the jungle or something- oh! Oh, I'm so sorry, Scooter!"
Scooter couldn't help chuckling. "It's okay, Walter; technically she's not missing anymore, even if she is still living down there. In fact she's coming up here next week for Christmas. I could introduce you to her if you want."
Walter's eyes lit up at the thought of getting to meet one of the 'lost' Muppets. "Could you? Oh, that would be so awesome, Scooter; thank you!"
"No problem, Walter," Scooter replied. As long as he didn't cause a riot, they'd be fine.
