333 - What's the best insult you've ever heard?

"'Ey Scooter, whatcha up to?"

The go-fer in question poked his head out from underneath Kermit's desk, a cable or power cord in one hand, to see Rizzo and Pepe looking down at him. Even though neither of the pair looked very interested, Scooter answered them anyway. "Oh, hi guys. I'm just getting Kermit's computer hooked up to the network."

"Network?" Pepe echoed. "Does this mean we're getting cable? Because there are some channels I'd like to request, okay."

"No, we're not getting cable in the theater," Scooter replied. "This is a computer network. It'll connect all the computers in the building, from the one out at the front box office to this one in here. And all of them will be connected to the Internet, of course."

"And...why are ya doin' that?" asked Rizzo.

"Because Kermit asked me to" was the go-fer's response as he pulled himself out from under the desk. It didn't need to be stated why their boss didn't exactly trust, say, Bunsen to this job. Still speaking to rat and king prawn, he leaned over the desktop to double-check the connections at the back of the computer tower. "And because it'll make things around here a little bit easier." I hope, Scooter added to himself. Unlike Kermit's computer at home, the ones at the theater were a little bit older and therefore slower; they'd probably have to be replaced soon.

"In the future," he finished "we may even put laptops up in the dressing rooms. It's gonna be great." Turning around, he saw Rizzo and Pepe looking at him their eyes all but glazed over.

The rat chuckled and shook his head. "You are such a geek, Scooter."

The go-fer grinned. "Thank you."
