This is lovely. There's a sense of charm in the writing throughout that fits them so well, even when the events happening around them are concerning. Crowley and the apple is perfect.

I'm hoping that's not true about the rats, but I suspect it is...

Very well done working the Horsepersons into each of these scenes. I hope your family situation has improved - best wishes for a resolution.
Oh- and as someone who had to test code in prep for Y2K, this brought back memories.
