This is fantastic! Right from the off, with the very elegant uncomfortable chair that I can picture straight away. Crowley is such a slitherer-outer, I love the sign on his stomach.

“You're a fan, aren't you, Mr. Fell?”
“Yes, of a sort,”
Yesssssss, I love this- the seance is fantastic and frightening. The baby trade rings so true to a lot of things I've read about the time, and all the different sorts of intervention Aziraphale performs.

The magic show started so well! The stage magicians and illusions of the time inspiring Aziraphale wanting to perform makes so much sense -- and then the scene onstage is terrifying and compelling - and of course a lot of those magicians did come to those sorts of ends.

I love it when Crowley wakes up, their total ease with each other- celestial forms and bodies and clothes and feathers, and whatever the platonic physical intimacy equivalent is when it's not strictly physical. ^.^

(I also have to admit that 'thou bull's pizzle' is one of my favourite Shakespearean insults)

I love this whole story for how many sides of Aziraphale you've manage to show, and how well - wrathful, out of date, wistful and hoping, sad and curious and heavenly. This is masterfully done. Thank you so much. ♥
