Wow. This was utterly beautiful. I think this is going straight into my faves.

This might as well have been a gift for *me*, it fits my headcanons and tastes so well. ^^ Historical A/C with the A/C part not actually happening until post-book. Aziraphale as a plague doctor. Alexandria. Bitchy! but protective!Aziraphale. Kind!Crowley. Wings. Wings and wings and wings everywhere. And the ending was wonderful.

I have to confess, though, that the sex scene, while very well-written, felt a bit like something out of a different story, or a different story that got accidentally pasted in. The previously beautiful pacing of the story rather got lost there, what with how long it went on and the style shift from poetic to very detailed and explicit... just kind of felt like it temporarily derailed into PWP territory. I actually think the story would be improved if that passage ended with the line about them toppling naked into bed, and then a cut to the wonderful passage with them waking up after. Don't get me wrong, the smut was great (and I'm saying that as a devout worshiper of wing kink, too), I just felt that it distracted a bit from the mood of the story until that point.

Still brilliant, though. ^^

I will admit that was the first sex scene I've ever written, I'm sorry I'm not very good at it... I honestly don't write much fanfiction, this is one of my only finished fics! I'm honored you like it so much even despite the awkward porn, OTL

Hehe, no, the porn wasn't awkward as such, it just felt a bit out of place, after the story's progression, for it to go on like it did, as long as it did. Even so, I can understand the decision to include a more graphic scene after all that build-up. ^^

Actually, stylistically speaking, the explicit scene at the end reads like an addendum ficlet - that is, a follow-up that's been included as a kind of bonus feature. Which is very cool *thumbs up*
