Ruffian's Trainer
On Derby Day I was reading my local newspaper at lunchtime and read a small article that Ruffian's trainer, Frank Whitely, Jr had passed away the previous Saturday. So I cried all through lunch over Ruffian and her untimely demise since I am from NY and she is the only horse buried at Belmont Park. What heart she had! Then look what happened later to Eight Belles. She had similar heart, so I cried all night too.
