Urgh, I hate closing at work! They just spring it on me (I haven't even had proper training yet, all is from my observing. I don't think I even get the $2 extra per hour for supervising) and they expect me to do everything with a skeleton staff! It was hella busy today, so many of the jobs usually done by 3 hadn't even been started by the time I started at 5! There was a cigarette delivery 20mins before we closed (which is very 'what the what?' because fag deliveries usually occur in the morning) and I didn't get everything done. But I did the most important jobs and went 'fuck it' and left only 9mins late. Blergh.
So I'm still feeling the after-effects of that stressful period. Just watching Return of the Jedi on TV for the gazillionth time. It somewhat lessens the pain.
Anyone have any advice on curbing spending? I've bought three DVDs this week (Inglourious Basterds, Howl's Moving Castle, Bande à part) and I've still got Blur: No Distance Left to Run and Spirited Away on my immediate 'To buy' list. I need to be stopped, before I spend all my savings which I intend to use on my currently impossible European odyssey. I obviously have issues.
I'm somewhat glad the Winter Olympics are on and NBC shows are off the air! It gives me time to get my TV-related affairs in order while watching absurdly dangerous sports.
