Last day of semester today, huzzah! I'll be hermit-ising myself for the next 4 weeks or so, but I'm sort of okay with that. Considering Claire's (who I see everyday at uni) brother has been quarantined for suspected swine flu only because a classmate of his tested positive. I hear Melbourne High might be shut down next week because of it.
I'm also supposed to go to a birthday breakfast shindig, but I'm not I can be bothered getting to the city that early on a Saturday. I don't know the girl very well, plus I kinda promised her a cake and I got carried away doing nothing and now is a bit too late to start baking an improvised cake lacking chocolate.
Well, it's rather scary to believe that I'm almost halfway through my course. Still have no bleeding idea what I want to pursue afterwards. At the moment, pathology seems to be the only notable candidate. And, even though I've always seen myself doing French for my 3 years, I've decided to drop it next sem. I can't keep up and it's reaching new depths that someone srudying linguistics might want/need, not a wannabe/casual speaker. So yes, I'm trying to justify my decision...
So I'm taking the night off before the study fest. I watched the pilot of Freaks and Geeks and I actually really enjoyed it! Wee!Sweets is hilarious to watch...and Jason Segel is, almost alarmingly so, somewhat endearing, in a stoner sort of way. Once my Internet cap dissolves in a few days, I shall definitely be downloading the rest of the series. It shall become my Exam Distractor (in collaboration with Buffy). It's become quite the tradition.
I don't think I've ever been so excited about work right now. My pay rate just shot up by $4 (to $20ish an hour) because of my turning 20. Now I can spend save more and the vague concept of some sort of European trip can actually be considered!
Now here endth the mundane details of my life.
