Humm here is the long overdue update. That seems to be the common beginning for all of my updates, but better late than never right?
June 15th I had surgery on my right arm. One Dr. here locally said he thought it was a benign tumor, one Dr. here locally said that it was a malignant tumor, both Drs. here locally said they wouldn’t do surgery on it, so off to Spokane I went. I went to the Dr. the first time there on the 12th and he scheduled the surgery for the 15th. Luckily it was a same day surgery and I got home at about 5 pm on the 15th. In times like this you do learn who you can and can’t count on.
June 16th was Stormy’s dance recital. She had a 4 pm and 7 pm performance and she did well. Luckily Melissa came over and helped get her ready since, I AM TOTALLY RIGHT HANDED, and it was out of commission. Stormy started a new dance studio this year and is much happier there.
June 17th Fathers day, so no rest for the newly cut open. We went to the park with my parents/grandpa/sister-family and her in-laws. I stayed for a couple of hours and had James take me home. But a good time was had by all. We picnicked and others went out on the boat.
June 21st Kris turned 16. We took him out to dinner and so far that has been it. He never did come up with anything that he really wanted to do for his birthday, so kind-a boring.
The end of June, Stormy tried out for the competition dance team at the studio she goes to and made the teen hip hop, she was really excited about that. We had a group of the Cooley side of the family over and had a blast.
July 2nd I went back to Spokane for a follow up and the Dr. said it was benign and that it should come back. The tumor was 3 inches in diameter and compressing the nerve, that is why I was having so many problems with my arm.
July 4th James and my 16th anniversary. Since it is on the 4th we generally don’t do much, we did go to breakfast and dinner that day. The kids both had friends spend the night. Off to work the next day, so pretty uneventful.
Work has been good, busy with learning lots of new stuff. I worked on a grant (bookkeeping stuff that isn’t my strong suit). But I got it all done and turned in. It seems to be right since I haven’t heard back from anyone. I also have been doing the safety stuff at work for the shop and that has been a total learning experience. I have been writing up the safety manual and employee manual, plus making sure that all of out first aid is taken care of. I really enjoy my job, it is never boring. If I do get bored I can do something else for a while.
James has been working a lot. He works out of town most of the time so he is spending a lot of time driving. His immediate supervisor is retiring in October so hopefully that means some advancement in the company for James.
We have been working on getting the pool in. It should hopefully (with any luck) be up and running this weekend.
That is all the news that I can this of, I am sure that there is more but, well life is busy and goes on…….
