What my musical experiences have afforded me is the ability to spot a winner. In this case, that sure thing is New York native, Lourds. This deceivingly adorable young lady of Filipino, Yugoslavian and Spanish descent, systematically rips the roof off any room with a microphone and a few speakers that she and her band happen to wander into. A cross between Alanis Morrisette and early David Bowie, this girl, quite simply, rocks.... LOURDS takes their show on the road and they will be on display at Area Venue in Newport this Thursday evening, September 22nd.
