A great article on goals and goal setting.

Steve is an extremely insightful and thoughtful writer with an easily read and understandable way of communicating *deep* ideas.

Life has been treating me as well as I've let it, some good, some bad, but ultimately, better than I treat myself. Lately, far more good than bad.

Jus started back to school (again!) but this time it seems to be working alot better for me. I am doing an online curriculum, and it is structured so that it is 1 class for 5 weeks (short burst of focused intensity) rather than the traditonal 4-5 classes for 4-5 months.

re: Going Stealth
As anyone who knows me for any lenght of time knows, I have this rather annoying tendency of dropping off the face of the earth for extended periods of time. It's a bad personality trait assosciated that has grown out of many other issues in my life, and having mostly to do with self esteem and social anxiety. And the fact that I am just naturally an introvert who reads/thinks alot and says little. ;-)

So enough about me, how are you? I had a great time at the Translating Identity Conference and am so looking forwrs to the next one. Also interested to know if there are similar conferences before and after that one around the same general topic.

Anyways, back to (school)work... I will try not to dissapear for so long next time, as I am really trying to use my journal more. Partt of it is just a time management thing, and time seems to be scarce these days.

Things here are much the same... some up and some down, but I think it all evens out in the end. Translating Identities has put out a call for workshop proposals. I really enjoyed our dialogue at last year's caucus. Would you be interrested in co-presenting something together this year?

Yeah, it was great fun, and your was probably the best sessions I went to, but that's because it held a particular relevance for me. As to co-presenting, its a possibility and would certainly be fun, but ask me again in a month or so, after I have had a little more time to confront my social anxiety issues. I used to do the sepeaking engagements alotwhen I was in high school, but it's been a long time and I'm a bit rusty. But I'm definately open to the idea. Worst comes to worst, I end up facilitating from the audience. =)

I definately have some ideas of things I would like to see happen at the conference, #1 is that all the sessions be recorded and put up as podcasts, like was done at the BlogHer (www.blogher.org)conference. #2,a better web presence / community portal site around the conference that facilitates communication and ideas long after the conference ends.

Ahh, the majik of the inkernet, but then, I'm just a geek like that!
