I'm Alive and the moon it is waxing...

Selling paintings and cameras on e-bay... There is a Tibetan Lama staying at the Dharma Center with his young fairly attractive translator. The Lama knows very little English, maybe only one or two words. It's neat having people from other places around you. There was a tornado warning in Yellow Springs today, we decided to ignore it and eat dinner. The Dharma Center is full of all sorts of good food! People bring gifts of food for the Lama and we eat the left overs. A Tibetan lady from town makes many of the meals Sarah (the other person living at the Dharma Center) and I eat too.  So we've been eating authentic Tibetan food for the past two days, yay.

I'm no longer going to study in India this Fall. My mother was diagnosed with skin cancer and had 56 lymph nodes removed. She is recovering well, but it has been a shock to all of us. She may have to go through chemo, we don't know yet. So, basically, with many medical bills and mom to take care of, India is an over-expensive option that would take me too far away.

I'm most likely graduating through Antioch University Mcgregor, Antioch College being.... in political limbo. The university has offered me an incredible discount and the ability to graduate one year early (one year left!). I think from there I might go to graduate school in Madison and get my masters in something like non-profit leadership, although this seems sort of unexciting, it could be the direction I'm looking for.

I'm looking for new friends, sort of unsuccessfully, Yellow Springs seems so small. I went out briefly with a good friend fellow... He ended up going crazy and now he's on medication. Anyways... that's my life in a jiffy. Tomorrow I wake up very early to join others and the Lama in the Glen where he will do a special ceremony for the  Nagas (nature spirits). This is exciting.
