He forgot to keep eating the pies......

My poor little Punk is having a right horrible time of it at the moment:

Eczema - bad (very scabby baby which must itch like a bugger)
Thrush - bad (third course of anti thrush medicine in 3 weeks)
Immunisations - evil (those needles look too large for his poor little thighs)
Weight gain - 2oz in 2 weeks - poor, especially considering he used to put that on in 2 days.

BUT

He now laughs out loud and has discovered his feet which seem to be confusing him slightly, which of course is highly amusing for us. Also we recieved from cat mistress some funky t-shirts one of which says 'Little punk' so thank you for that. Hopefully, the thrush will soon clear up and we will get the eczema under control and he will revert to being the happy baby which we know he is underneath all the itching.

I think I managed to confuse the doctor this morning when I asked if there was a more natural way of treating the thrush. She gave me the most blank look I have seen in a long time (well, since I asked Gary what day of the week it was earlier) - which is quite bizarre as I thought they would be reluctant to keep medicating babies unless they have to. Oh well.

Apart from that have not been doing a lot. We are trying to find Gary a course so he can get his Corgi registration and start earning lots of money and I am starting to look into the whole MMR debate. I know there is no real link to Autism (the rise being mainly due to better diagnosis), but from what I can gather all the research since has mostly been on disproving that one article rather than trying to find evidence to support it so I am a bit bewildered. The parents (well, a drunken mum anyway) have offered to help us pay for the single vaccines if that is what we choose so will have to give this serious consideration as need to let health visitors know in plenty of time, and also line up a doctor to give them.

Gary is determined that Zachariah's first words will be Iron Maiden so have them on constant in my head from him looking at Zach and saying Maiden, Maiden, Maiden...........

Right, Zachariah is stirring so am off to play with him and his monkey (brown, furry and already rather chewed) as he is allowed soft toys as long as I freeze them twice a week (brrrrrrr)
