Cheer Cov/Fash for all the reassuring words.
Since posting we have had two great days with Zachariah being the cute smiley/chatty/funny/non-whiney little boy I know he is underneath all the terrible two's/teething which has refreshed me somewhat. We have had lots of time outside playing in the orchard and on Down Grange which has helped Z run off a lot of excess energy as well. I think since moving to boringjoke we had got rather out of the habit of taking him out every day which he always had in Plymouth.
Cov - I think the naughty cot does work but only for more serious things e.g. hitting one of us where as just sitting him on the floor and telling him to stay there for a couple of minutes tends to work for the other little stuff (like throwing his clothes around).
I have found that yelling doesn't work (although everyone still does it) as that just encourages yelling back. Is hard not to get mad when he is constantly whining (and it usually is a sign of something wrong) as like I said it grates to the point where I snap but that is just something I have to work on.
Me and Gary have got into a habit of putting Z to bed with his water and a familiar book and leaving a few toys at the end for him to play with until we get him up in the morning. He is also getting the idea of talking to us through the monitors so he chats away for a while before we get him up and he seems very content with that.
It is just a case of taking one day at a time and getting through the rough days and thoroughly loving the good ones. My favourite part of today was when he said "Mummy What is that?" when before he would say "this one?". Is amazing.
Sis - I Think u will be crashing in the folks bed on Friday as am reluctant to move Z and the door gate for just one night but me and Gary may still be up when you get here (well maybe Gary anyway as I have to get up in the morning). Anything you need in food wise?
Cov - We living in Basingstoke and I think you are in Coventry aren't you? Would love to meet up some time if we are ever near eachothers place.
