hello old friends

my my, hasn't it been some time? been busy have we? I ask that to both you and I, assuming that its mutual since our last dialogue. anyhow, we'll see if this gets anywhere. my second to last entry of any meaning vaguely detailed my "musts" for now, summer, and next semester. seeing as I am now far enough into the future to look back on all three of those moments in time, I can safely assess the situation without fear of affecting the outcome. this being so, its fairly safe to say that things went well. not quite as planned, but they never do. anyone ever notice that? perhaps not at a minute scale, but in the grand scheme of things. I can predict with some degree of accuracy the goings-on of the next few months. however, although I am correct only to a certain degree, I have already accepted the fact that life finds its own way. it is these specific variants that interest me most in life. an interesting notion. reading some really cool stuff for my "space of fiction" class. satisfies my pretentious intellectual breadth requirment for school. laff. side note: anyone get into Borges much? labyrinths? infinite architecture perplexes me. we, as humans, cannot achieve the infinite, so we often settle for the achievable, the indefinite. perhaps its not that we cannot achieve this infinity (in space, concept, etc.), but we cannot even comprehend it. whats does an infinite space look like anyways? read borges. pretty profound stuff. anyhow, in addition to this ostentatious display, I balance a construction class, a design theory class, a cultural landscape class, and an introductory landscape architecture class. each one more exciting than the last! not quite. oh yes, and my philosophy of atheism decal. in which I am attempting to come at all the arguments/discussions from the point of view of a "strong theist" (yay god!). we'll see how that pans out. kevin should help me with some intelligent design stuff, heh. but still good times in academia. really "hitting my stride", as it were. validating my stay in academics for a while longer. and it is interesting to find true value and absolute interest in most all things school related. not to say that I havn't had this yet, but just not to this extent. I hope that my peers are having the same luck that I am. oh, and I work. thank god. usher at the zellerback performance hall. good times as well. free shows and tests of my ability to stand for 2 hours straight. jk, they let us sit. however, I do get to physically discipline the elderly volunteer ushers when they fuck up. jk again, I do it verbally. and my IM soccer team goes.... well, I suppose. we got trounced our first game, but I knew that would happen before it did. however I did not know what the final score would be. once again, my strange premonition? turned out to be like 8-1 or something. yea gordon with the anti-shutout goal. gotta keep these guys in check. can't let them get too cocky. however, I played after a full day of snowboarding and today my body suffers. oof. slightest movements cause the greatest of pains. ah, it was well worth it. side note: snowboarding while its snowing all around you is pretty amazing. miserable and amazing. tahoe is a beautiful place. tomorrow is moms birthday. yea janice! my dads got it tough. he has to come up SO big every year, bday-vday back to back. good luck dude. going to see andrea this weekend. should be the best of times. honestly can't wait for this school week to end. good times lie ahead in the S L O.
well, I'm sitting here wondering what else to put in, assuming people have even gotten this far. so I guess that about wraps it up for now. been listening to loads of the black keys. they kick ass. excited about the new verhoeven and herzog movies. should both be enjoyable. stylish. oh, coachella worth it? sonic youth, ratm, black keys, lcd soundsystem, bjork, arcade fire, blonde redhead, air. if all these were on one day, then it would be worth up to $150 or so for that one day, other then that, probably not. so no coach for me, but many a friend will make it and let me know. kudos to you for reading this far. you're my favorite (insert our relationship here) anyways ;). love

tag...... you're it
