Okay, so this probably won't be of much interest to anyone who doesn't know me or my friends in real life. But I'll post it here anyway for anyone who wants to know the wonderful legend of Rainbow Heather.
So, my friend Heather (dressagecowgirl for anyone who might want to stalk her) is really awesome. And also very rainbowy. Thus she is called Rainbow Heather. This nickname was started by our good friend Shaina (ellen_drell for anyone who might want to stalk her) after Heather played a game of badminton or something with a rainbow racquet. It's a name that stuck, obviously. And it suits her so very well! She loves us calling her that, too. *nods*
Well, a year ago now, seven of us wonderful girls went to Hawaii on a trip after graduation. On the plane ride home, Heather sat next to a young man by the name of Tim, who proceeded to talk her ears off. It turned out they had a lot in common (like horses), and the rest of us quietly decided that he and Heather were soul mates. After awhile he pulled out a ukulele and serenaded her.
So I wrote a song, the song I assumed he was really playing for her. I wrote it down and passed it around, and it eventually got to Heather. She ripped up the paper and ate it. Luckily, I had had a feeling that she would do that, so I had made a second copy. I just found it the other day, so I thought I'd transcribe it, word for word, so it could live immortally in my LJ. Here it is!:
