14 dozen cookies, and whaddya got?

So I went to the gym this morning and thoroughly taxed my leg muscles. I need to go to the gym every day now. This is part of my Philmont prep. The altitude difference between Houston and Philmont is so tremendous. I remember that in 2004, I did nothing to prepare myself physically for the altitude difference and so suffered during one of the longer hikes. But in 2005, I'd been going to the gym just as a way to keep fit (with no intentions of prepping or anything), and when I went on that same hike, I had absolutely no problems. I was astonished. So now I'm starting to prep myself physically for an entire summer in Philmont. Granted, as a wimpy photographer, I'm not going to be leading groups into the mountains every week, but nevertheless. In my spare time, I want to be taking advantage of Philmont's resources by hiking all the mountains I can handle - and taking photos of them, no less.

Ambitious? Maybe. Then again, so is my plan to finish Les Misérables this time around.

At 3 p.m., I started baking; about three hours later, I had finished, with a whopping 14 dozen cookies piled on the cooling rack. After dinner, I started packaging the cookies into these cute little sacks I found at Michael's - okay, they're just clear plastic party favour bags, but still! - and la. And I've made these cute little labels and these cute little "Keep in touch!" cards and la. Everything is cute. I'm about to die because everything is so obnoxiously cute. I'm tired of playing housewife.

The cookies are all sacked up and la, and now I'm struggling to write notes. I should probably write my Philosophy paper at some point, too.

Am I the only senior who's still coming in to school?
