In calculus, Diana asked Hannah E. and me, "Are you guys wearing the same shoes?"
Hannah and I looked down at our feet.
"Uh, no," Hannah said after a moment.
"So they're just really similar?" Diana asked.
"Yeah... that's weird, how they both have white leather and a big flower," I said. Then, "I haven't worn these shoes since my eighth grade graduation."
"REALLY?" Hannah exclaimed. "The last time I wore these was at my eighth grade graduation, too!"
Later, I went around barefoot as often as I could. This is because, right after lunch, I remembered why I haven't worn the stupid things in four years: they hurt. I have a blister on each foot now. Not very pleasant.
